Jr. IAM Analyst (90% remote) (Occasional On-Site Presence)


Job Summary:

Optomi, in partnership with an industry leading client, is seeking a Jr. IAM Analyst. The Jr. IAM Analyst will support the Information Security team in managing and maintaining the organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. This role will assist in ensuring the security and integrity of user identities and access privileges across the organization's IT infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • User Provisioning and De-provisioning: Assist in the creation, modification, and deletion of user accounts in various systems (e.g., Active Directory, cloud platforms, applications).
  • Ensure timely and accurate provisioning and de-provisioning of user access rights based on business needs and security policies.
  • Access Reviews: Participate in regular access reviews to ensure that users have the appropriate level of access to systems and data.
  • Identify and remediate access anomalies.
  • Identity Governance: Assist in the development and implementation of identity governance processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the organization's identity and access management policies.
  • Incident Response: Assist in investigating and resolving security incidents related to identity and access.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of incident response plans.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users on IAM-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related problems.
  • Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of IAM-related documentation, including procedures, guides, and reports.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Information Security, with a focus on IAM preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Basic understanding of IAM concepts (e.g., authentication, authorization, single sign-on).
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and other enterprise applications.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 1
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Certifications: (Preferred) Security+ or other relevant security certifications.
