WellBe Senior Medical is an innovative, private-equity backed healthcare company focused on providing the highest quality geriatric care (care of older adults) to frail, elderly Medicare Advantage patients with multiple chronic medical conditions. This population is typically underserved and very challenged with access to quality care. To address these problems, WellBe has elected to bring the care to the patient, instead of trying to bring the patient to the care. Care is provided throughout the entire continuum of care - from chronic care and urgent care in the home, to hospital, to skilled nursing facility, to assisted living, to palliative care, to end of life care. WellBe's physician-led geriatric care teams provide “concierge” level geriatric medical care and social support in the home as well as delivering and coordinating care across the entire continuum.

As Vice President of FP&A, you'll serve as a strategic partner to the CFO and executive team, architecting WellBe's financial future while bridging sophisticated analytics with business operations. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to build and scale a sophisticated finance function within one of healthcare's fastest-growing value-based care organizations. Workingat the intersection of finance, actuarial, and operations, you will translate complex financial insights into actionable strategies that drive WellBe's ambitious growth trajectory and risk management approach.

Scope Of Responsibilities

  • Drive transparency and strategic insights by partnering with actuarial teams to transform complex insurance reserve calculations into clear, actionable intelligence for executive decision-making
  • Architect and implement sophisticated monthly financial reporting that delivers powerful insights on performance trends, empowering leaders to make data-driven decisions
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting process and develop dynamic rolling forecasts, creating a robust framework that adapts to our rapid growth and evolving market conditions
  • Design and execute multi-year financial models that shape WellBe's strategic vision and chart our path to continued expansion
  • Champion the evolution of our financial infrastructure by establishing best-in-class controls and processes that scale with our growth
  • Transform our reporting ecosystem to accelerate close times and enhance forecast precision across all business units
  • Unlock breakthrough insights through advanced analysis of key performance indicators, illuminating opportunities and risks across our value-based care model
  • Revolutionize our approach to accrual methodologies and reserve estimates by fostering seamless collaboration between finance and accounting teams
  • Shape strategic growth initiatives through sophisticated financial analysis and recommendations that balance opportunity with risk management
  • Build and inspire a world-class FP&A team that will help define the future of healthcare finance at one of the industry's most innovative companies

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in FP&A
  • Strong insurance industry experience required, preferably in health insurance or property & casualty
  • Demonstrated experience working with and translating actuarial concepts and data
  • Track record of implementing financial planning processes and systems
  • Expert financial modeling and analysis skills
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience building and developing teams
  • Excellence in communication and presentation skills, with ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial planning systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
