As we continuously grow, we are looking for an Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our passionate team.


POSITION DETAILS

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. Reporting directly to the HR Director, this onsite role combines traditional HR responsibilities with payroll management and office management duties, making it ideal for a well-rounded professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. The HR Generalist will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR functions, maintaining payroll accuracy, and fostering a positive workplace culture.


HR Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Administer and coordinate full-cycle recruitment, including posting job ads, screening candidates, and onboarding new hires.
  • Manage the administrative aspects of off-boarding, including coordinating exit interviews, processing final documentation, and overseeing equipment returns.
  • Respond to employee verification requests, process wage garnishments, and handle unemployment claims.
  • Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment, claims resolution, and addressing employee inquiries.
  • Handle various HR administrative tasks, including tracking compliance training, maintaining HR systems, and reporting.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR-related matters, fostering a positive work environment.


Payroll Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process payroll on a weekly basis using ADP.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with union-related payroll responsibilities, including adhering to collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), tracking union dues, and processing union-specific benefits or wage adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.


Office Management Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day office operations, ensuring a clean, organized, and well-functioning workspace.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring efficient communication and distribution.
  • Coordinate office supplies procurement and inventory management. Manage vendor relationships, including office equipment and maintenance services.



JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in an HR generalist or similar role.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple HR processes, such as payroll, employee records, onboarding and off-boarding administration, and office operations, with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address payroll discrepancies, resolve employee inquiries, and navigate HR-related matters.
  • Clear and effective communication skills to explain HR policies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build trust with employees and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
