Due to continued growth and expansion into the market, we are currently accepting applications for Apprentice Truck Driver CDL A Route Delivery to work within 30 miles of the distribution warehouse in Frankfort, IN.Compensation - Annual salary is $85,000-$100,000+ per year which includes:Hourly pay of $33.33 per hour.Typically 1200-1600 miles per weekWork 45-60 hours per week.Weekly paychecksBenefits - Eligibility starts on FIRST DAY OF WORK401(k); 401(k) matchingHealth, Vision, Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee stock purchase planTuition reimbursementPTO (Personal and Vacation Days) Paid HolidaysCareer advancement opportunitiesWork ScheduleThis is a 24/7 delivery operation; some routes include weekends and/or HolidaysDays and start times will vary; work until work is completed, typically 10-14 hours per dayRoutes awarded by bidding board daily, based on seniority; typically takes 1-2 years to access most desirable routes80% local and 20% overnight with most of the layovers being one night.Approximately 1-3 layovers per week; overnight stay in company paid hotelMake 5-10 stops per day; Routes cover nearby states.Must be flexible with work schedule, work schedule may change based on business needsTRAINING: Two-week in-office paid orientation training. Followed with 10-12 weeks of on the job driving/delivery training.ResponsibilitiesRoute delivery, driver unload, lift-gate, pallet jack, curve ramp, and 2-wheel hand cart Touch freight, case delivery of food-grade products to warehouses and end-usersDrive CDL A day cabs with 53' trailers to transport materials and equipment to specific route destinationsSecure pallets using straps and/or bars. Load securement at every stop.Document pre-trip and post-trip inspectionsManage hours of service (HOS) and ensure DOT complianceProvide excellent customer service Checking mechanical aspects of the vehicle Reporting maintenance/repair issues on tractors and trailers RequirementsNo CDL driving experience necessary. NEW GRADUATES ENCOURAGED TO APPLYPrior delivery driving experience highly preferred but will train.Must meet DOT requirements to obtain Commercial Driver License (Satisfactory MVR, medically qualified, proof of residency).Must be able to obtain DOT card, pre-employment, and criminal background screening.Be in excellent physical condition and be able to stand, sit, kneel, bend, lift, push, pull for extended periods and have normal use of senses.Able to work in all types of environments and under difficult conditions; hot, cold, dust, indoors, outdoors.Legally eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand EnglishMust pass pre-hire drug screen and physicalBe able to lift, push, pull 15-20 pounds with no assistance
