Role overview
The Test Analyst Lead works without direct supervision and will be required to lead the testing efforts of others. Prior experience in multiple technical domains including automation in testing tools and strategies, and experience in leading testing efforts of large programs in multivendor environment is necessary.
Responsible for improving the skills of each member of the competency through technical leadership and active mentoring. This is done by evangelizing best practices and constantly evaluating and implementing new practices, tools, and technologies that improve efficiency and effectiveness of their competency.
The Software Test Analyst Lead has the responsibility of providing tactical leadership in regards to software testing of complex enterprise programs. This requires the lead to collaborate with other key roles within and outside the project team. This role will be responsible to manage end to end the entire software testing lifecycle, and to direct work of other software testing professionals under their area of influence.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Estimating work effort of the testing team, and the skill requirements of the team
• Master Test Planning based on size, scope, complexity, and risk of the project/application
• Contribute to the refinement of Requirements and/or User Stories
• Review Test procedures and test cases, test data, and test executions
• Lead Defect Management activities
• UAT facilitation
• Test summary reporting, including test status reporting at defined cadence to leadership
• Work closely with delivery teams to pilot best practices and evaluate implementation of best practices in their areas
• Troubleshoot when testing deliverables are delayed or do not meet quality standards, providing an assessment on procedural or other changes necessary to improve consistent delivery of solutions on-time and within quality standards
• Have good knowledge on the SDLC phases of the project and have prior experience of performing peer reviews
Required Work Experience
• 10+ years of experience creating and managing software quality deliverables, processes, and tools
• Master knowledge of software testing methodology, including writing and execution of test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools
• Superb communication and mentoring skills with the ability to connect with members of the Software Quality Assurance community
• Ability to design and implement best practices and design patterns for software engineering in testing
• Experience implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Strong organizational skills, tracking multiple test executions simultaneously and able to synthesize the results
• Strong knowledge of Agile or Scrum development methodologies
This selected candidate will be expected to work in a Hybrid environment in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
