Primary Role:
The Sr Planner will be responsible for planning and managing replenishment requirements to ensure that branch needs are met while adhering to corporate policies. The planner will develop and execute strategies to achieve customer service goals, inventory control targets, and overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement replenishment plans to meet service level and inventory control objectives for assigned branches.
- Plan, replenish, and monitor inventory levels across 5-8 branches, including at least one major hub.
- Manage the hub-to-spoke and vendor shipment relationships, ensuring cost savings and inventory optimization.
- Analyze and understand working capital factors, vendor ordering procedures, freight issues, and seasonal product needs.
- Ensure compliance with minimum order quantities, freight terms, and payment conditions.
- Resolve issues related to vendor performance, inventory movement, and internal shipments through effective problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy, service levels, inventory turns, and cost-saving measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Operations, Sales, and Category Management, and maintain effective communication with vendors.
- Provide coverage for other planners during PTO and perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement planning and supply chain management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software (D365 preferred).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive cost-effective inventory management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple branches and ensure alignment with corporate goals.
