Lead Snowflake Engineer | About You

As a Lead Snowflake Engineer, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining data solutions within the Snowflake platform. You will develop data pipelines, implement data governance best practices, and collaborate with stakeholders to address data gaps and drive consistency across applications. In this role, you’ll streamline processes, maintain comprehensive documentation, and deliver insights that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Lead Snowflake Engineer | Day-to-Day

  • Design and develop scalable data architectures and pipelines in Snowflake to enhance analytics and reporting capabilities for stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of data engineers, including nearshore resources, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Implement best practices for data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning within Snowflake to optimize data solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all solutions by addressing gaps in upstream and downstream data sources to improve governance.
  • Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance, delivering high-quality data sets that facilitate self-service analytics for end users.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and architectures, driving the standardization of key metrics across business units.

Lead Snowflake Engineer | Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with proven expertise in Snowflake and Databricks.
  • Strong SQL skills with in-depth knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL development.
  • Familiarity with data engineering best practices and workflow management tools like Airflow.
  • Proven experience managing nearshore/offshore teams and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across workstreams in a dynamic environment, ensuring adherence to data governance and quality best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with financial applications such as SAP S/4 HANA, Anaplan, and Salesforce is a bonus.
