Insight Global Director, AI Atlanta, Georgia Apply Now

An Insight Global client in the manufacturing space is looking to add a Director of Artificial Intelligence to their team to partner closely with the VP to spin up an AI team. The goal of this team is to leverage AI to drive efficiencies and predictive maintenance across their 34 manufacturing sites and 800 lines. The Director of AI will be responsible for building his team of 5-10 resources. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the manufacturing industry and have at least 1 year of professional experience leveraging AI to drive efficiencies and optimize business operations. Additional responsibilities include:

  1. Innovation: Drive innovation by enabling emerging technologies such as IoT, Analytics, Generative AI, and AR/VR solutions. Align these innovations with our corporate vision and strategy.
  2. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market and competition analyses, identifying new technology challenges. Map findings to our organization's digital maturity for adoption in both Consumer and Enterprise markets.
  3. Legacy Systems Modernization: Strategically phase out end-of-life hardware and software, replacing them with modern digital and emerging technologies. Focus areas include IoT, Analytics, and Generative AI across various domains.
  4. Build and Scale: Manage large-scale multiyear Digital Transformation program for modernizing production facilities using technologies for Industry 4.0 use cases, Connected Factory, and M/AI. Equipment and System data capture and analysis from IoT, and IIoT systems, Data extraction, and integration with ERP, MES, and Supply Chain systems to give strategic visibility in production and operations for factories.
  5. Connected Factory: Drive initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improve supply chain visibility, and enhance product quality through connected factory solutions.
  6. AI Integration: Explore AI applications within our operations, including predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and process optimization.
  7. Digital Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital strategy that aligns with business strategy, customer needs, and market opportunities and create impact teams to deliver world-class digital experiences optimizing the customer journey.
  8. Leadership: Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, operations, and engineering teams to champion new products, and services, or offer visions and strategies.

Compensation: $220,000 to $240,000 - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements:

  1. 10+ years of technical experience
  2. Technical foundation in areas such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Operations Research.
  3. Previous experience in manufacturing or supply chain industry
  4. 1+ year of professional AI experience, preferably working on predictive maintenance, quality control, production optimization, or supply chain management
  5. Proven track record in driving digital transformation, Industry 4.0 initiatives, and IoT adoption.
  6. Deep understanding of RCA and RCCA processes for increasing efficiency.
  7. Ability to envision and articulate a compelling digital strategy for the future of the organization.
  8. Skilled at building coalitions, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and influencing stakeholders.
  9. Demonstrated success in delivering measurable business outcomes through digital initiatives.
  10. Lead change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption of digital technologies and processes.
  11. Promote data-driven decision-making by leveraging insights from IoT sensors, digital twins, and analytics.
  12. Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's degree.
