Job Details

Job Title: Patient Support Specialist

Location: Whippany New Jersey 07981 (Onsite)

Duration: (5 + Months Contract to Hire on W2)

Shift time: 8am-4:30pm

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient healthcare services, facilitating access to prescription medications.
  • Interact directly with patients, physicians, and pharmacies to support our client's copay assistance programs.
  • Deliver a high-quality patient experience from start to finish, offering program information, eligibility, and reimbursement support.
  • Respond to inbound and outbound calls from patients, physicians, and pharmacies, addressing their care and reimbursement needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Program Management and IT to resolve issues.
  • Assist other departments with administrative tasks as needed.


Skills Required:

  • Experience in a high-volume contact center environment, preferably in healthcare or case management.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy benefits, healthcare insurance, and medical billing.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • High level of empathy and emotional intelligence, with a focus on patient care.
  • Adaptability to various situations and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.


Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

Additional Skills:

  • Experience with financial project management and metrics.
  • Familiarity with claims processing and outbound calls.
  • Ability to answer phones and manage cases effectively.
