Senior Financial Analyst, Sustainability Finance Job ID: 3123132 | Amazon.com Services LLC The OrganizationThe Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) Finance team supports the management of Amazon’s social and environmental impact globally and partners to drive solutions that enable our customers and our business to become more sustainable. With the Climate Pledge, Amazon publicly committed to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve net‑zero emissions in 2040 by physically de‑carbonizing its business activities and neutralize remaining residual emissions. Executing this plan is a complex strategic and financial undertaking that requires thorough and careful financial consideration. Key job responsibilities Execute monthly financial controls for the carbon credit portfolio, including metrics tracking, variance analysis, and risk assessment.
Update financial models to incorporate new data and assumptions related to the carbon credit program. Perform discounted cash flow and P&L financial modeling. Coordinate with business partners on NPV bridging and ad hoc analyses. Ensure internal stakeholders are aligned with finance inputs and recommendations.
Basic Qualifications 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science) Preferred Qualifications Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses Experience in sales, business, or corporate strategy Knowledge of voluntary and compliance carbon credit markets Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
