Material Handler

Nesco Resource is searching for a Material Handler / Delivery Assistant to join the team with one of our long-term clients in the Auburn Hills area. The shift runs from 6 AM to 4 PM Monday through Thursday. The pay rate is $21.00/hr.
Responsibilities:

• Receives, stores, and distributes material, supplies, equipment and products within a warehouse
• Drives/operates material handling equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks, verify load lists, and moves materials and items to storage, production, service, office or other designated areas
• Sorts and places warehouse materials or items on racks, shelves, pallets or in bins according to predetermined sequence
• Assembles customer orders from the stock and places orders on pallets or shelves
• Performs cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory information; maintains inventory records
• Uses computer to verify order information
• Loads and unloads delivery truck on assigned route
• Ensures product is delivered to customer within company quality standards
• Obtains customer signature as a verification of delivery or pick-up

• Forklift experience
• Must be a team player and exhibit a strong desire to learn and promote self-growth
• Organized and strong attention to detail
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, length, width, height, and depth.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with computers
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
