A prestigious law firm in Orlando is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of hands-on experience working in a bankruptcy department within a law firm setting, with a strong understanding of electronic filing through CM/ECF filing system in all bankruptcy courts.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all aspects of bankruptcy case preparation.
  • Draft and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, statements of financial affairs, and related documents.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, including electronic and paper files.
  • Review and analyze client documents for bankruptcy filings, including financial statements, assets, debts, and claims.
  • Coordinate with clients, trustees, creditors, and other parties involved in bankruptcy cases.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely filings with the court.
  • Perform legal research related to bankruptcy law and case developments.
  • Prepare and track creditor claims, motions, and hearings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather required information and provide updates on case status.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant bankruptcy laws and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a bankruptcy paralegal in a law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of bankruptcy law
  • Experience preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions and related documents.
  • Proficiency with bankruptcy software, court filing systems, and legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet strict deadlines.
  • Paralegal certification or degree preferred (though not required).
