Trucking company in Laredo, TX is looking to add experienced Dispatchers to our team

Seeking a team player who wants to move up in an organization The ideal candidates will be self- motivated leaders who are hungry to gain additional responsibilities. Candidate must be a take charge person who is willing to lead by example. Chosen candidates will be compensated well for their experience, knowledge and leadership skills.

These positions are responsible for dispatching, and resolving problems for Point Dedicated drivers. These positions require individuals to have exceptional proactive communication skills with internal and external customers including resolving issues with timely pick-up and delivery, check calls, activity documentation, and overall promoting a professional workplace attitude in a fast paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

· Maintain contact with drivers throughout their shifts and report any routing issues they might have

· Evaluate driver’s hours of service and communicate issues

· Dispatch and monitor drivers daily to ensure on-time pick-up and delivery of freight and report exceptions

· Effectively communicate with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

· Promote safety first for all areas of dispatch and ensure drivers are following all safety policies and procedures

· Answer calls from drivers and relay any emergencies they have to the appropriate channels

· Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED with 1yr of transportation/logistics experience


Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of relevant professional experience OR 3-5 years of experience in the Transportation/Logistics industry
