Senior Financial Systems Analyst - Boston - Hybrid
About the Role:
Team Overview:
As a Senior Analyst - Financial Systems, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial processes, identify transformational opportunities, and implement innovative system solutions. You’ll collaborate with IT Business Applications teams and business users to enhance financial systems and processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and GAAP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and implement solutions to complex financial and business challenges.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, IT, and business process improvements with a global perspective.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, managing expectations and fostering open communication between business users and IT teams.
- Ensure system enhancements and designs are compatible with current systems and meet business goals while minimizing risks.
- Coordinate and participate in testing, including user acceptance testing, to ensure effective implementation.
- Communicate project updates, risks, and progress to stakeholders.
- Provide functional support for Oracle systems (EBS, FCCS, ARCS) and TM1 to Corporate Finance teams.
- Offer recommendations to optimize the use of financial technologies and alert management to risks affecting project performance.
- Draft reports and training materials to support system and process improvements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in corporate financial analysis or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience with Oracle or similar systems (e.g., Cognos TM1, Hyperion, Oracle BPM, EBS Suite).
- Strong understanding of accounting/finance principles, including monthly close and planning processes.
- Familiarity with income statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
