Patent Attorney

Kim IP, a New Jersey based intellectual property law firm, is seeking to hire a patent attorney attorney with a background in mechanical engineering or related discipline.

We are seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates with excellent academic credentials, communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Prior engineering experience a plus.

Patent Attorney

Attorney will be responsible for drafting and prosecuting patent applications, managing IP portfolios, counseling clients, performing patentability and clearance opinions, with exposure to domestic and international prosecution, along with client contact and management. Qualified applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Additional Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of technologies and a strong mechanical engineering background.
• At least 1 year of law firm patent prosecution experience.
• JD, NJ State Bar or willingness to gain admission, USPTO Bar.
• Engineering experience is a plus.
• Patent litigation experience a plus.
