Role Overview:

As a DevOps / Backend Engineer Intern at CBase AI, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our AI solutions. You’ll gain hands-on experience in cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and backend development. This is an exciting opportunity for students passionate about cloud computing, backend systems, and building scalable, reliable infrastructure for cutting-edge AI applications in the built environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure Management: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure to support AI agents and backend systems.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Set up, maintain, and improve continuous integration and delivery pipelines for seamless deployment of applications.
  • Backend Development: Contribute to backend system development using modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Node.js) to build APIs and integrate with databases.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring tools to ensure system reliability, performance, and uptime, and assist in troubleshooting and optimization efforts.
  • Security Practices: Learn and apply best practices for securing infrastructure, data, and applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with frontend developers, AI engineers, and data scientists to ensure smooth integration between infrastructure and applications.


Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Python or another backend programming language (e.g., Node.js, Go, or Java).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Basic knowledge of setting up CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Exposure to containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Passion for problem-solving, scalability, and building robust backend systems.
  • Interest in AI, sustainability, or the built environment is a plus.
