Role Summary:

The logistics specialist’s role is to manage and streamline the workflow and material movement within or between departments, aligning with production schedules. Responsibilities include analyzing production and shipment schedules, tracking inventory levels, and compiling cost reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect documents, materials, and products to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards.
  • Review production schedules, work orders, and staffing needs to determine material and personnel requirements.
  • Record production data, including output volumes, raw material consumption, and quality control metrics.
  • Maintain and requisition inventory to meet production demands.
  • Update production schedules as needed due to design changes, labor/material shortages, or disruptions.
  • Distribute production schedules and work orders to relevant departments.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Analytical capability to evaluate costs associated with manufacturing, labor, and materials.
  • Proficiency in documenting and recording client information accurately.
  • Basic mentoring skills to provide guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Knowledge of shipping and production-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficiency in Excel, data management, and critical thinking.

Educational Background and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct investigations into potential claims.
  • Develop and distribute weekly project reports.
  • Handle data management related to claims investigations.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc reporting requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field.
  • Expertise in SAP, advanced Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competence in working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with advanced supply chain, enterprise planning, or financial planning systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (e.g., creating presentations) and verbal.
  • Capacity to work independently or collaboratively to meet team and personal objectives, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
