This individual is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations of several complex programs at multi-site locations. The Division Director is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the operation of the programs and the staff under his/her direction.

This individual will oversee the quality of services offered in the programs to ensure that services are consistent with the needs of the individual and that they also represent the overall intent of the Divine Light Philosophy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain census and budget matrix of all division programs and ensure quality treatment.
  2. Ensure full complement of qualified staff adhering to the personnel policy and procedures, which includes, but is not limited to hiring, orientation, evaluation, supervision, discipline, and training of staff, with the ultimate goal of ensuring good staff morale.
  3. Provide orientation and training for all new staff.
  4. Oversee all program operations including physical plant, clinical, and administrative programming.
  5. Maintain full licensing, accreditation, credentialing, and certifications as appropriate.
  6. Facilitate staff meetings, consultations, and special therapeutic activities as required.
  7. Establish and maintain positive relationships with current and potential funding, referral, and regulatory agencies.
  8. Develop and maintain supportive relationships with public and community organizations by engaging in Public Relation activities that advance the mission of the program/division/agency.
  9. Ensure building maintenance and overall functioning of the entire program/division.
  10. Assist with the preparation of program budgets, proposals, and other executive tasks, when appropriate.
  11. Oversee all fiscal aspects of the programs within his/her division and report problems to the Chief Executive Officer and Regional Director.
  12. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Regional or Executive Director.

Required Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

  • Thorough knowledge of treatment, therapeutic, rehabilitative, and prevention techniques including, but not limited to chemical dependency, mental health, and criminal behavior.
  • Knowledge of the drug and alcohol abusing subculture.
  • Thorough knowledge of individual and group behavior and the effective ways of working with them.
  • Thorough knowledge of specialty populations or programming as required for the division.
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management and effective supervisory techniques.
  • Knowledge of fiscal and budgetary management.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment in developing, implementing, interpreting, and evaluating program policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to provide supervision, management, and leadership which promote good staff morale.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, staff members, agencies, institutions, and the general public.
  • Ability to evaluate programs and employee effectiveness.
  • Ability to speak and write effectively.

Education /Training:

Masters degree from an accredited college with a major in medicine, chemical dependency, social work, counseling, public administration, business management, or nursing (with specialty in nursing/health administration); plus specialized training in a relevant area (i.e. management, accounting, human resources, chemical dependency, mental health, etc.). Licensed as appropriate by appropriate authority preferred.

Experience:

Four (4) years in aggressively responsible and varied program management, or multi-site or multi-program management, in a public or private organization, including experience in human resource management, budgeting, and/or non-profit management.

Sobriety: If recovering, must have at least two (2) years of continuous sobriety/recovery and maintain sobriety/recovery throughout employment.

Job Type: Full-time
