ABOUT US:

Volta Labs is an applications company that is revolutionizing the future of genomics. We are a Boston based, venture-backed biotech startup that makes extracting vital information from biological samples as simple as pressing a button, through our flagship product Callisto. Our product speeds up processing time for scientists and increases accessibility to important genetic information for patients. Sitting at the intersection of science and engineering, we invite you to join us on our journey to shape the future of genomics, where insatiable curiosity is encouraged and every Voltarian makes an impact.

THE TEAM:

  • Author Python code to run on the instrument and control its functionality.
  • Develop manufacturing test functionality.
  • Documenting software design, implementation, and testing procedures to ensure clarity, maintenance, and scalability.
  • Partnering with our hardware engineers, scientists, and product managers to ensure Callisto’s software is as robust and effective as possible.
  • Design, develop, and maintain features for customer-facing products and internal tools.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software errors, taking ownership of the resolution process.
  • Deploy software updates to fleets of instruments and monitor them to provide a stable instrument platform for end users.
  • Participate in code reviews, follow company coding standards, and write unit tests.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the team by proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
  • Facilitate hardware bring-up and failure analysis. Regularly getting your hands dirty on unrefined hardware.
