About this role

The Field Enablement & Activation lead is a pivotal role that works with sales leadership on enablement strategy, builds programs, and pulls them through for adoption in the field. You’ll constantly improve the program, looking at metrics to measure outcomes and leading indicators of program effectiveness, gathering feedback from the field, and adjusting to changes in GTM strategy and our industry.

This position is a business partner to our sales leadership. This role isn’t just about building and leading enablement programs but also about fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in sales execution. As the first Field Enablement hire, you’ll set the foundation for a scalable enablement function that supports our ambitious growth targets.

Your responsibilities

  • Partner closely with your sales leadership stakeholders, align on their metrics, and help them achieve Writer’s revenue goals.
  • Develop and implement sales enablement programs that include new-hire sales process and methodology training, ongoing sales skills training, and onboarding.
  • Work closely with sales teams to monitor the usage and effectiveness of enablement resources.
  • Gather feedback and insights from sales teams to continuously improve playbooks, training materials, and sales strategies.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of sales content, templates, and job aids that support the sales process.
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of sales enablement initiatives on sales efficiency and revenue growth.

Team Responsibilities

As a member of the Enablement team, you’ll contribute to these team goals and projects:

  • Deliver onboarding bootcamp and virtual sessions in your area of expertise.
  • Own projects, collaborate on goals, and staffing for our Revenue Kickoffs and team offsites.
  • Scale and organize our enablement content and keep it up-to-date in our fast-moving space.

Metrics you’ll influence or be accountable for:

  • Leading indicators of program success (sales stage conversion, pipeline build).
  • Adoption rates of enablement programs.
  • Certification completion rate.
  • Sales skills and performance improvements post-training.
  • Key sales metrics, such as revenue generated, deal size, win rates, and sales cycle length (influenced metrics).

Is this you?

  • Proven experience in field activation, sales enablement, or a related field in the SaaS software, AI and data ecosystem, or integration/automation space.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and strategies, particularly in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Consultative skills and a track record of building strong relationships with sales leadership.
  • Success in designing and implementing effective enablement programs.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of driving change and adoption across various teams.
  • Deep commitment to understanding and supporting sales teams, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, understand, and act upon sales performance metrics.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, as a key member of a high-performing enablement team.
  • Preference for candidates who’ve worked with complex sales cycles, matrixed organizations, and highly technical products selling to IT personas.

AND

  • Proactive leadership, comfortable in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Open to honest (and kind) feedback.
  • Self-aware and committed to learning the why for both successes and failures.

Benefits & perks

  • Generous PTO, plus company holidays.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Paid parental leave for all parents (12 weeks).
  • Fertility and family planning support.
  • Early-detection cancer testing through Galleri.
  • Flexible spending account and dependent FSA options.
  • Health savings account for eligible plans with company contribution.
  • Annual work-life stipends for:
    • Home office setup, cell phone, internet.
    • Wellness stipend for gym, massage/chiropractor, personal training, etc.
    • Learning and development stipend.
  • Company-wide off-sites and team off-sites.
  • Competitive compensation, company stock options and 401k.
