Senior Software Engineer, Front End (Enterprise Platforms Technology)

We are seeking Front End Software Engineers who are passionate about using cutting-edge open source frameworks with emerging technologies. As a Capital One Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to be on the forefront of driving a major transformation within Capital One.

Enterprise Platforms Technology (EPTech) comprises many of Capital One's most important enterprise platforms. We play an essential role in establishing practices for building technology solutions across the company, while also delivering capabilities that exemplify those practices.

What You'll Do:
  1. Work with a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems.
  2. Perform software development on Front End Applications leveraging a test-driven development pattern.
  3. Own the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  4. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community.
  5. Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment.
  6. Utilize programming languages like JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript and Java, open source frameworks, RESTful web services, and work on cross-browser and cross-device development.
Basic Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. 5+ years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java.
  2. 1+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  3. 3+ years of experience in open source frameworks.
  4. 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
