About this role:
Suite Health’s Clinic Nurse Practitioner will provide general oversight for patients receiving care in our provider-based infusion center. The Clinic Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care, case management, referring provider relationship management, communication with team members, thorough EMR documentation, and more. As Suite Health grows, the Clinic Nurse Practitioner will provide oversight and work at multiple clinic locations within a reasonable distance.
Reports to: Chief Clinical Officer
Leadership oversight of: Registered Nurses
Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Off-hours may be needed to accommodate patient schedules
Minimum Experience/Education Qualifications:
· Must align with our values, share our vision, and want to reach our mission with us (see above)
· Graduate of an accredited adult nurse practitioner or clinical specialist program and hold an active, unencumbered advanced practice nurse or practitioner license in the state of Colorado
- Experienced in the outpatient care setting; Huge plus if experienced in infusion therapy
· Impeccable skills in IV starts, central line + port access and de-access, and managing patient emergencies (specifically to allergic reactions)
· Strong knowledge of chronic disease states, acute disease states, and current + emerging therapies
- Maintains and commits to growing their knowledge of all (existing and developing) therapies, trends, and patient desires in this space of healthcare
- Certified in care specialty (many will be considered but infusion nursing is preferred)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certified
- Expert with technology programs (e.g. All Microsoft Office programs, typing, EMR documentation, etc.).
- Incredible customer service and team collaborator skills
Responsibilities:
- Place and maintain peripheral IV catheters and other central or peripheral access lines; De-access same lines
- Prepare medication for administration, as ordered and per protocol
- Administer medication(s) per order and/or protocol
- Monitor patients closely and appropriately throughout entire visit
- Document thoroughly and appropriately in EMR
- Address all questions and relieve any concerns of patients and/or support person(s)
- Effective and positive interpersonal communications with team members (including account executives, referring providers, and referring provider team members)
- For every patient, supports professional care by using knowledge and practicing in accordance with:
1) Standards of Nursing Practice;
2) JCAHO, state, and local laws;
3) Suite Health’s mission, vision, values and their policies and procedures;
4) Infusion Nurses Society standards; and
5) NICA standards
- Other duties and tasks, as needed

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, twist, talk, and hear. There may be prolonged periods of sitting, standing, typing, reading, and patient care. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and also patients weighing various amounts. Specific vision abilities required by this job include reading, distance, computer, and color vision. Talking and hearing are essential to communicate with patients, teammates, referring providers, and vendors.
Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including (but not limited to): measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
