At Evergrow, we seek to build and sustain a carbon-neutral world. We're fulfilling this mission by making financing accessible for those creating low-carbon infrastructure and technology (e.g., solar, renewable natural gas, energy storage). And there’s a strong why now. The climate bill passed by Congress in 2022 is a game-changer for renewable energy project developers and owners, and we are building solutions to provide everything they need to claim vital financial benefits. Our transparency and speed materially lowers transaction costs and helps more projects get built and accelerate decarbonization.
You should apply if:
You aspire to work alongside the best: We’ve brought together an immensely talented, thoughtful, and mission-driven team—we care deeply about our work, are highly collaborative, and are eager to welcome other like-minded people to join us in our mission.
You’re energized about solving complex problems: We are at a new frontier with climate change—the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act signals a profound shift in climate policy, with financial incentive (and benefits) at its core. This brings a vast network of legislation, processes, businesses and people into the fray, simultaneously creating incredible opportunities as well as challenges. If you're prepared to tackle these challenges, energized to get into the weeds of renewable energy tax credits, and work to build long-lasting, novel solutions, we believe you'll be an excellent match.
Your role:
As the second hire on Evergrow’s design team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our software products and solving for the needs of our customers in this complex space. Reporting to our Director of Product & Design, you will work with the Evergrow team to understand, define and empathize with the needs of people who buy and sell clean energy tax credits, including: solar power project developers, asset owners and capital providers. You will be working on end-to-end designs for a B2B product suite which enables and accelerates clean energy infrastructure development.
You bring a track record of shipping high quality designs, preferably within finance, climate or other complex software systems. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and are passionate about designing mission-driven products and services, this role is for you. You will be responsible for:
- Owning design work from product concept to wireframes to final detailed design
- Working closely with multiple stakeholders, including members of our engineering, policy and business development teams
- Assisting in conducting user research and incorporating user feedback into Evergrow products & processes
- Contributing to Evergrow’s external brand by designing key customer artifacts, such as clean energy project reports
- Continuously building your knowledge of decarbonization infrastructure and technologies, to become an expert on the needs and challenges of our stakeholders
- Helping to grow a strong design practice at Evergrow
- 3-5+ years of industry experience in UX / UI design, in high-growth / high-impact sectors
- A portfolio demonstrating your thought process and work
- A strong command of UX principles, user-centered practices and current design patterns. Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Skilled at visual design and experience working within a brand system
- Deep experience with Figma. Prior use of Figma styles/variables and ability to build Figma prototypes preferred.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers to launch high quality products, working in agile product development sprints
- Ability to take constructive feedback and refine designs
- A strong desire to work on climate and to understand the needs of decarbonization stakeholders
Even if you don’t match every listed requirement, we highly encourage you to apply
At Evergrow, we value our differences, and encourage all - especially those whose identities are traditionally underrepresented in tech organizations - to apply. We’ve embedded diverse perspectives at all levels at Evergrow, because we know it makes our team stronger and better equipped to serve all stakeholders.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, ancestry, national origin, citizenship, age, marital status, political belief, or any other characteristic protected by law.
Compensation and Benefits
- Top-tier health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k)
- Daily lunch provided
- Flexible PTO
- Family Leave
- Regular team retreats and offsites
- Dog-friendly office in downtown San Francisco
