Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team for one of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data and telecommunications, with expertise in the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, and support of critical multi-site networks. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, stability, and security of our client's network infrastructure across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain critical multi-site network systems, ensuring network infrastructure meets performance and security requirements.
- Perform testing, inspection, and troubleshooting of deployed communications systems, diagnosing issues and resolving them promptly.
- Utilize tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds to monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance.
- Ensure high-quality, reliable network connections by managing LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), WAP (Wireless Access Points), and other related technologies.
- Implement and maintain networking equipment such as CradlePoint routers, NetCloud, and other wireless or wired communication systems.
- Monitor network traffic and conduct regular diagnostics to ensure network stability and prevent service interruptions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement network infrastructure solutions based on business requirements.
- Adhere to cabling standards, ensuring proper installation and setup of cables to maintain efficient network communication.
- Provide technical support for network-related issues, troubleshooting and resolving connectivity and performance problems.
- Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting efforts as needed.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, including the installation, maintenance, and support of multi-site networks.
- Strong knowledge of data and telecommunications systems, with hands-on experience in installing, testing, and maintaining network infrastructure.
- Proficiency in using network monitoring tools such as Wireshark and SolarWinds.
- In-depth understanding of LAN, WAN, WAP, CradlePoint, NetCloud, and network cabling standards.
- Ability to manage and support large-scale network infrastructures across multiple locations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical teams and end users.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
