Project Executive – Data Center Construction
Are you a proven leader in the Data Center Construction industry, ready to take on your next challenge?
As a Project Executive, you will oversee multiple large-scale data center construction projects, ensuring they meet or exceed quality, budget, and timeline expectations. Working closely with clients, senior leadership, and project teams, you will drive strategic decision-making, maintain operational excellence, and cultivate strong professional relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic oversight for large-scale data center construction projects.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and alignment with project goals.
- Establish and enforce project policies and protocols to maintain compliance and safety.
- Develop and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and schedules to meet financial targets.
- Approve key project plans, estimates, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
- Lead negotiations for contracts, change orders, and major procurement agreements.
- Oversee billing processes and ensure timely collection of payments.
- Conduct regular site visits and project reviews to assess progress and address challenges.
- Report consistently on project performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement within project teams.
- Anticipate future resource needs and contribute to strategic workforce planning.
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- 12+ years of experience in construction management, including oversight of large-scale projects.
- 7+ years of experience specifically in mission-critical or data center projects.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets of $50M or more.
- Expertise in electrical systems, including distribution and white space infrastructure.
- Proficiency in leading multi-disciplinary teams across various project phases.
- Experience negotiating complex contracts and handling vendor relationships.
- Exceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills under high-pressure deadlines.
Preferred:
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as PMP, LEED AP, or similar.
- Hands-on experience in retrofit projects within operational facilities.
- Proficiency in advanced project management tools (e.g., Procore, Salesforce, or similar).
