We are looking for an experienced General Manager for our UT Campus location who thrives in a fast paced environment (think...line halfway around the block for 8+ hours) and is comfortable with an array of tasks throughout the day - everything from on-boarding and training new employees to managing stock, customer relations and maintaining the brand experience. Some days are more challenging than others and some days you feel like you won the jackpot. We want to talk to you if you are outgoing, can make decisions on the fly, are a self-starter and don’t need someone to give you a game plan for the day and can read the room to see where you are needed most. Coffee service is strongly preferred, and a personality with excellence in leadership and focused drive is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates the day-to-day duties of sourcing, packing and ensuring deliveries leave with the drivers on-time for catering orders and wholesale deliveries to off-site cafes
  • Assists with the opening and closing duties of the department
  • Assists with keeping the team on track with packing, deliveries, stock and prep duties and cleaning the facility
  • Building delivery routes that guarantees all orders are delivered on time to clients and cafes alike
  • Assess bakery inventory and utilize pack sheets to properly organize cafe and catering orders
  • Handle all aspects of the catering sales process from inquiry to booking to delivery
  • Ensures that the team provides an extraordinary guest experience at every delivery
  • Ensures prepared goods look pleasing and are portioned in accordance to recipes/pack guides
  • Hire, train and supervise catering/delivery team to ensure the Lucky Lab standards are being met, as well as keeping the team motivated and on task throughout the shifts
  • Ensures that the delivery team is meeting expectations at satellite locations through regular visits and communication with satellite GM’s

  • Quick thinking on your feet and no problem is too big or small for you
  • You do not wait for direction and are always looking for ways to improve the department
  • Prior experience in catering preferred, but not required
  • You are are a morning person - shift times regularly begin at 5am but can sometimes require an earlier start time


What it takes to succeed:

  • 4-5 years of experience
  • Food Manager card within 30 days of employment
  • Understanding that a 50 hour work week is required during the school semester
  • Be organized and extremely thorough
  • Ability to read and create checklists and spreadsheets
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Be able to work in a small space amongst other teams with a high level of productivity
  • Be able to lift/move boxes up to 50lbs
  • Be incredibly reliable - on time and flexible
  • Have a valid driver's license
  • Able to work indoors and in outside weather conditions (i.e., sunny, wet and/or humid conditions)
  • Must love dogs, coffee and community
