Role Description:

Established Charlotte law firm seeks an Associate Attorney licensed in North Carolina with 1 to 3 years of Personal Injury, Workers' Compensation, and/or Family Law experience (would consider less experience for exceptional candidates). Duties include providing legal advice and guidance to clients, communicating with clients and opposing counsel, drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, drafting and responding to discovery, taking depositions, and representing clients in mediations and court proceedings as needed. Must have J.D. from accredited law school and currently admitted and in good standing with North Carolina Bar. Please do not apply if you have not been admitted to the North Carolina Bar.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina Bar
• 1-3 years Workers’ Compensation and/or Personal Injury Litigation
• Excellent legal research, legal writing, and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with senior attorneys and staff
• Experience with case management software such as NEOS is a plus, but not required
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required
