Kemira Product Safety and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) drives the global execution of product safety and product regulatory compliance related activities, and proactively contributes to Kemira product stewardship through lifecycle approach.


We are seeking a skilled professional to join the company in our Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) team. The Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for our products. This role involves managing product stewardship programs, maintaining regulatory documentation, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure our products meet all necessary requirements. This position will be located in Atlanta, Georgia, working from our main office and is eligible for hybrid work.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with local, national, and international regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update regulatory documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), labels, and technical files.
  • Product Stewardship: Develop and implement product stewardship programs to minimize environmental impact and ensure product safety.
  • Liaison: Act as the primary contact with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and provide guidance on regulatory requirements for new and existing products.
  • Training: Provide training and support to internal teams on regulatory and product stewardship matters.
  • Monitoring: Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards, and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs or product stewardship.
  • Knowledge of chemical regulations in the Americas region, especially U.S. GHS, EPA, TSCA, FIFRA, California’s “Proposition 65”, Food Contact (FDA), Canada CEPA (NSNs), Dangerous Goods and other related regulations
  • Experience working with international colleagues, an analytical mindset, the capability to work under time pressure, good problem-solving skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office. SAP is a plus.
