Avance Care is in the business of improving the standard of healthcare. As one of the largest networks of independent primary care practices in North Carolina, we provide comprehensive care for our patient’s physical, mental, and emotional health.


We are currently hiring a highly skilled, detail-oriented, and process-improvement-driven Senior IT Applications Administrator to help enable Avance Care providers and locations by implementing and administering technology solutions.


Selected Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy servers, network and security infrastructure
  • Cloud architect for AWS and Azure
  • Define backup policies and test recovery strategies
  • Design and deploy IAM applications and permissions (OAuth, Okta, SAML)
  • Administration of Windows Domain Control and Infrastructure, Company website security and backup, and Amazon Web Services Administration
  • Develop/Configure technology disaster recovery plan
  • Designs both local and cloud based VOIP deployments
  • Understands and advocates for the effective and secure use of technology in healthcare
  • Communicates standards for the appropriate use of technology to personnel
  • Execute security strategy and assist with continual security improvement
  • Point of contact for enterprise outages
  • Define processes and policies to administer and manage all software and hardware to support daily operations
  • Manages Firewall, endpoint security, NAC, DPL SIEM configuration, and monitoring
  • Actively reviews security events, alerts, and logs.
  • Work with vendors on new projects including, but not limited to, evaluating and implementing new technology
  • Create logging and metrics for Azure and AWS.


Target candidates should bring 5+ years of progressive IT experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in EMR system; eClinicalWorks experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Ability to troubleshoot, administer and maintain enterprise products
  • Ability to secure applications in a healthcare environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
  • AWS, Azure, cyber security, or related certifications highly encouraged
