Junior Animator – Frame48


(In-person position // January 6th start date)


Frame48 is a CGI motion design lab, producing animated content for industry-leading brands and agencies. Located in Culver City, our facilities are home to artists and creatives at the forefront of design and graphics technology.


We are seeking a Junior Animator to join our growing team. This is an in-person, hourly position focused on creating dynamic and visually stunning animations for products, objects, cameras, and characters in the advertising space. The ideal candidate has a passion for motion design and an understanding of animation principles and timing. A basic understanding of SideFX's Houdini software package is required.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Animate a variety of assets, including products, objects, cameras, and characters, to create captivating 3D motion design in Houdini.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to translate briefs and concepts into polished animations.
  • Work with directors and designers to ensure animations align with the project vision and brand guidelines.
  • Utilize animation principles to enhance the motion and dynamics of scenes.
  • Review and iterate on animations based on feedback, ensuring quality and precision.
  • Stay informed on animation trends and techniques to elevate project outcomes.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Houdini).
  • A strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and motion.
  • A portfolio or demo reel showcasing high-quality 3D animations (motion design-focused preferred).
  • Basic understanding of SideFX's Houdini.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; receptive to feedback and direction.
  • Enthusiastic about animation and storytelling in a motion design context.
