Job Title: Finance/FP&A Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA 30339

Salary: Up to $140-150K (depending on experience)

Position Overview:

A leading provider of products and services is seeking a Finance Manager to join their team. This position is ideal for someone with strong foundational experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) who is ready to take on a management role or an existing Manager who likes to build up reporting and processes for an expanding company. As manager, you will play a critical role in supporting the company’s growth and profitability by leveraging data analysis, strategic insights, and cross-departmental collaboration specifically supporting the Sales organization. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a relatively unstructured environment with minimal guidance, demonstrating strong critical thinking, data analysis expertise, and the ability to partner with operational teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze customer and operational data to identify trends and profitability opportunities across divisions. Create and maintain sales reporting tools, dashboards, and month-end financial packages.
  • Sales Funnel and Budget Management: Track and analyze the sales funnel, collaborating with the sales team to ensure alignment with account-level sales budgets and strategic plans.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with sales leadership, operations, and finance teams to ensure accurate data sharing and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Profitability and Sales Strategy: Work with leadership to develop plans for increasing sales and profitability. Monitor margin trends and suggest data-driven strategies for improvement.
  • Executive Support: Deliver financial insights to senior leadership, including providing an integrated view of company margins and assisting with executive decision-making.
  • Special Projects and Process Improvement: Contribute to special projects and process improvements to optimize financial operations across the business.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Critical Thinking and Independence: Ability to navigate through ambiguity and work autonomously while applying strong analytical skills.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, and SQL. Experience analyzing large datasets and providing actionable insights.
  • Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis: At least 4 years of experience in FP&A, with a focus on manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Operational Partnership: Proven ability to partner with sales and operational teams to drive business results and improve processes.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships across departments and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Financial Planning Software: Familiarity with business intelligence tools and financial planning software such as Planful.
  • Industry Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or aerospace/defense sectors is a plus.
  • Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and streamline financial processes.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
