Position Overview:

The Clinical Study Payments Specialist is responsible for managing and processing invoices related to clinical study payments. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to toggle between multiple systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate invoicing, compliance with contracts, and adherence to organizational standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process 15-20 invoices per week during the training period, increasing to 20-30 per week after training.
  • Review contracts and match invoices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve compliance issues during invoice processing.
  • Utilize multiple applications, including Concur, SAP, and CDO systems, for invoice management and audits.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing reports and providing necessary documentation.
  • Conduct internal clinical study audits and generate reports as required.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Study Data Systems team for application enhancements.
  • Assist in the setup and facilitation of new study budgets and quarterly payments.
  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial and clinical study data.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, or Clinical Studies (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a clinical office setting or related environment.
  • 1-3 years of finance or accounting experience, including invoicing and financial analysis.
  • Familiarity with automated accounting systems (e.g., SAP) and relational databases.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Preferred experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services, and Analysis Services.
