Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers with a 70/30 split between managerial duties and hands-on development
- Oversee the development of robust backend systems using languages and frameworks such as Java, Python, C#, .Net, Kotlin, or others
- Drive the implementation of Test Driven Development (TDD) practices and contribute to large-scale test suite design, including test doubles, mocking, and related methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, meeting both technical and business requirements
- Engage in strategic planning with a focus on big-picture thinking, particularly in the supply chain/manufacturing industry
- Utilize experience in SaaS environments to guide and improve software development processes
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within the engineering team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in backend software development with proficiency in languages such as Java, Python, C#, .Net, Kotlin, or similar
- Strong background in Test Driven Development (TDD) and familiarity with large test suite design
- Experience with extreme programming practices is a plus
- Demonstrated experience in leading or managing engineering teams
- Strategic thinker with an understanding of the supply chain/manufacturing industry is desirable
- Experience in a SaaS company environment is highly preferred
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive projects to successful completion
