PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

Gladiator Productions is a full-service event production company that partners with our clients to produce events, experiences, and activations through design, fabrication, lighting, entertainment, staffing, project management, budget management, & so much more We are an LGBTQ+ and Woman-Owned business with headquarters in Los Angeles and Orlando. ROLE SUMMARY 

The Production Assistant will help with various types of administrative, sourcing, and logistical tasks related to event production. Tasks will widely vary with lots of room to learn in a boots-on-the-ground position at a startup company. The right person for the job shall be capable of wearing many hats and ready to provide support wherever needed. Must be solution oriented, agile in problem solving, a competent multi-tasker, and have a great attention to detail. The ability to receive and action feedback rapidly is critical to the role. 

Role to work closely with the Production Team and Gladiator Leadership Team. 

JOB TYPE 

Full-time 

40 hours/week 

Overtime likely during active periods 

LOCATIONS 

Los Angeles Headquarters; In-Office Role + On-Site at select events 

TRAVEL 

Required 25-30% 

EFFORT 

This position requires excellent communication skills to be performed on a daily basis. This position requires moderate physical effort. Some unpacking and packing of materials will be required associated with scenic and prop elements. There may be moving and setting up of boxes, event pieces and other scenic & collateral. The movement of packages in the office and storage units is key. 

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. 

Candidate must be flexible with their schedule and be comfortable handling last minute requests depending on the day, they may need to work 8-12 hours a day and some weekends.


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Production Support: 

Source materials and supplies for various projects 

Assist with all aspects of prep including organizing supplies, assembling elements, etc. 

Represent company/clients on-site at events in a professional demeanor at all times 

Correspond and communicate with vendor partners and at times, Clients 


Logistics: 

Faciltiate deliveries and shipments 

Maintain office organization and supplies/inventory 

Maintain event support kits and road cases 

Maintain organization and inventory of all storage units for organization 


Additional Support: 

Run errands for leadership, production team, and general needs as needed 

Process and drop-off returns 

General flexibility and agility for miscellaneous tasks that may arise 


POSITION REQUIREMENTS 

Experience: 1-2 years of assistant or live events preferred 

Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record 

Job-Related Skills: Excellence in communication & organizational skills (verbal and written) 

Extremely proficient in Apple/Mac, including all standard Apple software 

Highly versed in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) 

Adobe Creative Cloud experience a plus (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) 

Education: Bachelor’s degree (preferred) 

Analytics/Interpretive Skills: Ability to be successful in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple 

deadline-oriented projects simultaneously 

Strong time management skills; proactive problem-solving skills 

Communication Skills: Active listener, ability to accept feedback. 

Strong internal and external customer service. Exceptional organization skills. 

Professional attitude and ability to be flexible and handle change in a positive 

and constructive manner.
