What we are looking for:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join our associate attorney team. The ideal candidate must have a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the state of California. Ultimately, we are looking for a candidate to join our collaborative working environment, who is enthusiastic about developing their legal expertise and contributing to the continued success of our firm.


Qualifications:

·        0 – 3 years of experience practicing law (post bar clerk will also be considered)

·        Proficient in drafting legal documents

·        Experience in estate planning, trust, and/or probate law preferred

·        Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

·        Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

·        Excellent research and analytical skills

·        Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Proficient with legal research tools (e.g. LexisNexis, CEB) and case management software preferred

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat preferred


Responsibilities:

·        Work closely with partners and paralegals to effectively move files through probate, trust, guardianship, and conservatorship administration process

·        Non-litigation court appearances related to probate, trust, guardianship, and conservatorship matters

·        Draft pleadings and correspondence

·        Conduct legal research

Salary considerations are commensurate of the candidate’s level of experience, relevant skills and years of practice.
