Position summary:

We are seeking a dedicated AWS System Administrator to join a team in managing critical infrastructure supporting the US economy. Responsibilities include support and maintenance of Infrastructure resources in the AWS cloud and on premise. Primary objective is to ensure the reliability and resiliency of production systems.


Qualifications required:

  • AWS cloud management experience in a hybrid infrastructure environment. This is the primary skill needed for this position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and at least 10 years of experience in a distributed Windows Server environment
  • Experience administering, and troubleshooting software and hardware in large, mission critical, 24x7 production environments, preferably banking or similar financial institutions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with peers, users, and all management levels
  • Must be able to work as part of a team as well as alone with minimum supervision


Qualifications desired

  • Experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
  • Experience with Dell backup technologies
  • Exposure to Redhat Linux
  • Working experience with infrastructure as code with Cloud computing



Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Server Contingency Testing - contribute to DR/BCP validation testing efforts
  • Comply with Change Control standards
  • Comply with Security and Risk controls
  • Test / automate deployment of upgrades - hardware, O/S, drivers, firmware, patches, etc.
  • Server Documentation/Procedural Documentation - create installation instructions for Network Operations for server modifications in the production environment
  • Audit Compliance - test and implement security settings to ensure server compliance with security and audit requirements; familiarity with industry standards such as NIST, ISO, CIS, PCI, and FFIEC
