(CONTRACT) Solution Architect - Manufacturing Cloud (Salesforce)

Location: United States or Canada (Fully Remote)

Summary

Thunder is looking for an experienced Contractor to support current (and possible future) Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud projects, as we continue to grow and scale Our Solution Architects function as a liaison between client and the Thunder team, and are responsible for collaborating with our customers' technology and business stakeholders to develop a scalable Salesforce architecture, vision, and strategy that enables best-in-class business outcomes. Our SAs are responsible for ensuring the solution design and system deliverables meet the defined acceptance criteria, while governing the execution of implementation deliverables.

Ideal candidates bring working, hands-on knowledge of various Salesforce clouds - specifically Manufacturing Cloud (Rebate & Warranty Management) - in order to optimize existing Salesforce applications and implement new ones. Thunder Consultants bring their depth and experience converting business processes into Salesforce-specific solutions, to help our customers love Salesforce, forever.

Your "Day-to-Day" - Role + Responsibilities

  • Lead overall Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud solution design and implementation, developing high-level solution architecture and detailed design documents
  • Participate in key meetings with clients including discovery workshops, requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end-user training
  • Evaluate client’s business processes and identify opportunities for enhancement
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, business process and business requirement documents
  • Work collaboratively with all Thunder project members to design solutions that meet business requirements, and in the preparation and delivery of project deliverables
  • Develop user stories and process diagrams to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions
  • Complete the configuration for user stories within Salesforce, AppExchange products, or other cloud-based technologies
  • Document and assign needed technical work to be done offshore, while collaborating with developers to test and verify that solutions meet the business requirements
  • Help ensure Quality deliverables

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years consulting experience within the Salesforce Partner ecosystem
  • 2+ years demonstrated track record of hands-on configuration and at least 2-3 completed end to end implementations of Manufacturing Cloud (Required)
  • 2+ years demonstrated track record of hands-on configuration in Salesforce CPQ and/or Revenue Cloud (Highly Preferred)
  • Experience defining and documenting requirements and writing functional specifications
  • Comfortable establishing credibility with key customer decision makers and influencers
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Impeccable verbal and written communication skills - we are a remote company and do expect our contractors to be extremely communicative to the Thunder team around customer needs
  • Eagerness to contribute to overall team expertise and project success
  • Practical exposure to Agile methodology, writing user stories, managing scrum calls, prioritizing backlog, and similar tasks
  • Salesforce Certifications: At least 2-3 Active Salesforce certifications, preferably within Manufacturing Cloud, CPQ, Billing, and/or Sales and Service Cloud

*Please note that this job posting is for our contractor dream team and not a full-time employment opportunity. As a contractor, you will not be entitled to benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, or retirement plans that Thunder offers its full-time employees. Additionally, your employment status will be that of an independent contractor, meaning you will be responsible for your own taxes and insurance. Please ensure that any outside commitments do not interfere with your responsibilities, availability, or ability to perform effectively in this position. We encourage all applicants to thoroughly discuss Thunder's contractor agreement terms during the Talent Screen. We, of course, will happily keep you in mind for future full-time roles if those are a better fit
