We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Package Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions for our pharmaceutical products. You will play a critical role in ensuring our products are protected throughout their lifecycle, from development to commercialization, while meeting all regulatory requirements and business needs.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop packaging for new and existing pharmaceutical products, considering factors such as drug stability, regulatory compliance, cost-effectiveness, and user experience.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of drug product attributes, commercialization needs, and regulatory requirements to determine optimal packaging specifications.
  • Utilize engineering principles and scientific analysis to evaluate packaging performance and ensure product integrity.
  • Lead and coordinate packaging projects, including equipment selection, procurement, qualification, and collaboration with contract packaging sites.
  • Support clinical trials by designing and supplying appropriate drug product packaging.
  • Scale up packaging solutions for production, including developing technical and financial plans.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive packaging specifications and documentation, adhering to cGMP and regulatory guidelines.
  • Actively participate in product launch activities, ensuring successful introduction of new products with optimized packaging.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Development, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, and Production.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Package Engineering or a related field with 5-8 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging, or a Master's degree with 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of materials testing, laboratory procedures, and packaging equipment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of cGMP regulations and regulatory requirements impacting pharmaceutical packaging.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
