In this role, you will be responsible for handling all legal matters for our company-owned commercial real estate portfolio, consisting of retail and grocery anchored shopping centers, as well as our property management company.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with commercial leases, including:

  1. Draft, revise and negotiate real estate letters of intent, leases, renewals, assignments, amendments and termination for tenants, as well as ancillary real estate documents (subordinations, NDA's, estoppels, etc).
  2. Resolve landlord/tenant and property management issues.
  3. Draft/negotiate commercial construction/vendor contracts, brokerage/commission agreements, and employment agreements.
  4. Efficiently oversee external legal teams.
  5. Act as lead counsel in purchase and sale transactions.
  6. Existing Tenant management - support leasing, property management, accounting and other company staff in enforcement of the lease.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  2. Admitted to practice law in Florida and active member of the Florida bar.
  3. 5 year legal experience, including substantial experience in real estate handling commercial leasing and related matters.
  4. Strong drafting and analytical skills.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Negotiation experience with opposing counsel, as well as direct with tenants and contractors.
  7. Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Strong knowledge of contract law and property maintenance regulations.
