Responsibilities:
The Family / Internal Medicine will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and treating a variety of medical conditions and illnesses
- Emphasizing preventive medicine and working with patients to promote healthy lifestyles
- Monitoring patients' progress, adjusting medications, and providing education on self-management
- Treating acute illnesses and injuries, such as respiratory infections, minor injuries, and skin conditions
- Conducting routine health check-ups and wellness exams to monitor patients' overall health and identify any potential health issues before they become serious
- Performing minor surgical procedures in the office, such as suturing wounds, removing moles or skin lesions, and draining abscesses
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for their patients, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York
- Board Eligible / Certified in Family and/or Internal Medicine
- Basic Life Support certification
- Infection Control certification
- Experience and/or interest in a Community-based setting
- Comfortable with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
Desired Skills:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
