***MUST HAVE CODING & BILLING CLAIMS EXPERTISE FOR MEDI-CAL BASED RESIDENTIAL PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT PROGRAM****


We are two 16 bed mental health residential treatment programs in Los Angeles County. These are California Medi-Cal based programs operated with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. We are looking to have a REMOTE BASED - MEDI-CAL BILLING & DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST join our team.


The role requirements are:

  • must understand Medi-Cal billing and documentation requirements for mental health residential treatment program
  • must have coding experience
  • must have worked as a claims biller at a Medi-Cal residential treatment program
  • must have understanding of CA Department of Social Services and CA Deparment of Healthcare Services regulations for residential mental health programs
  • must have an expert-level understanding of Medi-Cal claims billing working for a Mental Health residential treatment program
  • must be an expert in Medi-Cal requirements for note documentation
  • must have an understanding of how to link our electronic record system (Exym) with Medi-Cal claims processing
  • must have expert level in auditing the quality of documents and notes to meet Medi-Cal reimbursement criteria


Schedule: Full-time and Part-time opportunities


Salary: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
