Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Sales, you will be a key strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, leading the commercial sales strategy, and fostering strong customer relationships across the portfolio. This role demands a dynamic and visionary leader who can inspire a high-performing sales team and execute strategies to expand market share in the genomics and life sciences industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Leadership:
    1. Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with growth objectives.
    2. Lead, mentor, and motivate a geographically dispersed sales team to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
    3. Foster a culture of performance, collaboration, and customer centricity within the sales organization.
  2. Market Development:
    1. Identify and evaluate new market opportunities, partnerships, and customer segments.
    2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and industry stakeholders.
    3. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
  3. Customer Engagement:
    1. Act as a senior point of contact for strategic accounts and high-value partnerships.
    2. Ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty by aligning service offerings with client needs.
    3. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales initiatives with customer requirements.
  4. Operational Excellence:
    1. Drive sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting processes.
    2. Partner with internal teams to optimize sales operations, pricing strategies, and service delivery.
    3. Lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure seamless collaboration between sales, marketing, and product teams.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience:
    1. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive sales leadership experience in genomics, life sciences, or biotech industries.
    2. Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams and achieving revenue growth.
  2. Education:
    1. Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field required; advanced degree (MBA or PhD) preferred.
  3. Skills & Competencies:
    1. Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
    2. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    3. Experience with CRM systems, data-driven decision-making, and pipeline management.
    4. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a global focus.
