This individual would play a critical role in our Fund Accounting group, which is responsible for the accounting and operations of numerous investment funds. Key areas include assisting with the fund close process and review of investor statements, coordinating, and interfacing with the Fund Administrator, generating internal and investor reporting, cash management and assisting in the audit and tax reporting processes.
Key responsibilities:
• Review of the monthly and quarterly close packages generated by the Fund Administrator including PnL and cost and market value reconciliations
• Review the investor allocations and capital activity and the proper presentation of the various items on investor statements
• Prepare quarterly close packages for underlying investment structures (ex: blocker, splitter entities)
• Coordinate investor capital calls and distributions with the Fund Administrator
• Provide applicable documentation to the Fund Administrator for new and existing investments
• Responsible for wire and trade activity for investment funds
• Assist in the quarterly investor reporting process as well as ad hoc investor requests
• Coordinate with service providers and the accounting teams of new and existing investments
• Year-end tax support and audit preparation
• Assist with ad-hoc projects, reporting, etc. as needed or requested
• Maintain priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate often
Requirements:
• B.S. in Accounting; CPA required
• 3-10 years of experience in accounting, audit, and/or tax-related field (level is flexible depending on candidate experience)
• Self-starter with attention to details
• Strong organization, time management and communication skills
• Expert in Microsoft Excel
