Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects, including budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor management, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical contracting and a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage construction projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
- Oversee all phases of construction, including estimating, planning, procurement, execution, and project closeout.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including forecasting and tracking costs, and reporting on project financials.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Ensure that safety protocols are strictly followed on-site, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor project quality and progress, and address any issues that arise.
- Review and approve change orders, contracts, and invoices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, ensuring a high level of team collaboration and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the construction industry, preferably in mechanical contracting (HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and building codes.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites within Massachusetts and the New England area as needed.
- PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
