Cognizant is looking to hire FTE resource for permanent position on Backstage (React/Node JS/AWS ) skills. The experience range is 10-15 years and role is based out in St Louis, Missouri.

Role: Backstage Engineer (React/Node JS/AWS)

Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled developer to help us build and manage our internal developer portal using Backstage.

As a Backstage Developer, you'll be pivotal in developing, maintaining, and enhancing the platform. You'll work closely with developers, data engineers, designers and product managers to ensure the platform runs smoothly and contribute to its ongoing improvement.

Here's what you'll be focusing on:

Design, develop, and maintain the Backstage portal, along with its various integrations.

Contribute to refining our Backstage architecture for scalability and maintainability.

Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in the Backstage community.

Collaborate with diverse teams to create a robust and user-friendly Backstage experience.

Write clear, sustainable, and well-documented code and documentation.

We're looking for someone who brings:

A drive for crafting elegant and effective solutions.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Hands-on experience with AWS.

A solid understanding of infrastructure as code, with experience in tools like CloudFormation.

Expertise in container technologies like Docker and container management services like AWS Fargate.

Proficiency in managing relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

Strong coding skills in React, TypeScript, and NodeJS, and adept use of Yarn for package management.

A thorough understanding of MicroServices architecture and RESTful APIs.

Familiarity with Backstage Plugin Architecture is a plus

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $130,000/Year to $150,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
