- Release technical documentation such as engineering drawings, installation instructions, reports, and other data that is stored within the Document Control Department.
- Issue numbers and revision levels for technical documentation such as engineering drawings, installation instructions, reports and other data that is stored within the Document Control Department.
- Develop, maintain, and control computer indices of the various document types to ensure that positive control of the data is ensured.
- Maintain and control STC files.
- Coordinate with the FAA Flight Standards, FAA Manufacturing, and Aircraft Certification Office personnel as required for the purposes of audit and surveillance.
- Coordinate with customers' engineering departments, aircraft OEM's, the FAA, etc. related to data exchanges, communications, and transmittals.
- Provide input and suggestions for the continuous improvement of the various document control system.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Manager and / or Human Resources.
- Develop a strong understanding of Company policies and procedure
OTHER DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
- Perform periodic audits of Document Control practices and procedures.
- Create decals as needed.
- Maintain records of all shipped data to customers.
- Maintain records of all received aircraft and project data received from customers and vendors.
- Maintain Document Control and Engineering libraries.
- Maintain the copier and printers, paper, and expendable supplies.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
