Qualifications:

  • JD required
  • Michigan Bar Admission required
  • 1-3 years of post-bar work preferred, litigation experienced appreciated.
  • New attorneys will be considered with the right attitude toward growth in knowledge and skills.
  • Desire to perform all aspects of civil litigation, including investigation, client interaction, civil discovery, motion and trial work.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and records, and the ability to explain and illustrate diagnoses of medical conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with emotional and distraught clients.
  • Organizational, computer, Microsoft, Adobe, and all related computer skills.


Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will represent the clients through every stage of personal injury litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, pre-trial and trial.
  • Will be investigating incident reports, and medical reports of all potential and existing clients.
  • Preparing ordinary legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery.
  • Will argue in Court and mediation for clients' interests
  • Will schedule and take depositions of clients and defendants and expert witnesses
  • Attending all relevant court proceedings
  • Assist with firm management and other duties as needed
