Saiber LLC, a mid-sized law firm in Florham Park, New Jersey, is seeking an experienced Executive Director. This is a highly responsible position with authority over all non-legal administrative management of the Firm and involvement in the full scope of business operations.


Expectations

  • The successful candidate must have significant experience as a senior leader in a law firm or other professional services firm, or similar experience, and have served as a trusted advisor to executive leadership in this role.
  • The successful candidate must be able to operate comfortably across a board spectrum of responsibilities, including hands-on financial and administrative work, and show sound leadership and decision-making skills on issues involving information technology, operational logistics, and personnel management.


Skills/Abilities

  • Strong administrative, management and leadership abilities. Ability to work with limited direction, and to provide direction and strategic guidance to directors and others.
  • Ability to perform accurate and thoughtful analysis of financial data.
  • The ability to identify and analyze complex issues and problems in administration and management and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with employees in all positions within the firm.
  • Excellent writing and speaking skills: formal and informal communications, policies, manuals and contracts. Ability to communicate complex information and ideas effectively.
  • Capable of dealing with difficult situations and challenging personnel matters in a stable and professional manner.
  • Possess a strong understanding and knowledge of legal technology and the related support requirements.
  • Possess a strong understanding and ability to navigate risk management.


Areas of Business Oversight

  • The Executive Director will supervise, manage, mentor and provide collaborative directions to the firm’s administrative functions, making sure these functions support the lawyers efficiently and effectively and provide the best possible service to clients.
  • Financial Management (with Director of Finance)
  • Human Resources Management (with Director of Human Resources and Director of Paralegal Services and Attorney Recruitment)
  • Information Technology Management (with Director of Information Technology)
  • Marketing and Business Development (with Director of Marketing & Business Development)
  • Facilities and Operations Management (with Librarian and Facilities and Operations Management Team)


Education, Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree (advanced degree such as CPA, MBA or JD preferred)
  • Five or more years of experiences at a senior level in law firm management in a comparably sized firm.
