Key Responsibilities


Legal Strategy and Advice:

  • Provide strategic legal counsel to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with Governors and government officials on state and national initiatives.
  • Anticipate legal risks and craft proactive mitigation strategies.


Contract and Compliance Management:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor, employment, and partnership agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop corporate governance policies and oversee compliance programs.


Litigation and Risk Oversight:

  • Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Address risks related to intellectual property, employment law, and data privacy.


Corporate Transactions:

  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures with due diligence and deal structuring.
  • Provide legal expertise for strategic growth initiatives.


Team Leadership:

  • Build and lead a high-performing legal team.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative culture.


What We’re Looking For


Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with the Missouri Bar Association.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal experience, including a blend of in-house and law firm roles.
  • Expertise in corporate law, employment law, intellectual property, or data privacy.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Background working with government entities or in tech-driven industries.
  • Proven success managing complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of building and managing legal teams.
