Extruder operator

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of plastic extrusion, and related pelletizing equipment. Complete assigned duties if a safe and efficient manner. Comply with all company safety protocols. Ability to work the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production standards of product
• Complete written production and safety reports
• Check quality standards of product and functionality of machines regularly
• Report on equipment issues early so repairs can be scheduled, to minimize loss to business
• Participate in regular assessments and safety trainings

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent
• 2 years experience extrusion production lines or related fields
• Critical thinking and organizational skills

Required skills:

• Working knowledge of plastic extrusion, and related pelletizing equipment.
• Ability to assist in routine maintenance tasks
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
• Physical ability to perform job duties (Being on your feet / lifting 30-50 lbs. / climb stairs / etc.)
• Punctual

Preferred experience:

• Working knowledge of production equipment to include:
• Single screw / 2-stage / vented extruders
• Underwater pelletizing systems (GALA)
• Desiccant dryers
• Semi-closed loop scroll compressor chillers
• Roots blowers
• Forklift operation
